1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
May we be greatly encouraged by the above passage. For within this passage, we read and hear Paul speak what the will of God is for His people. We are to "rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks."
Our nation along with its schools, students, and parents need Christian's who are willing to pray. As many of you know, our teens are facing decisions revolving around homosexuality, suicide, depression, abortion, premarital sex, and the list goes on and on.
Many of our teens live within Christian homes, but Christian principles are not being taught from dad and mom. I know, that sounds crazy, but parents need to ask this question: am I praying for my children daily and teaching them godly principles from God's Word? Or are you the passive parent who hopes they will get everything they need from the church and others?
We must rejoice, pray, and give thanks to the Lord for everything He has given us, especially our children. Pray for our nation, our schools, and truly be diligent to pray for our teens who need Jesus more than anything else.
